4E Green Farm, a 5-acre, all-season, vegetable farm with 10 greenhouses located in Yaphank, New York, is owned and managed by the Lopez family. Vincent, Danny, Jerry, and Elena acquired the farm in September 2019 with the hopes of expanding within a few years. Everything is grown sustainably with no pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, or chemicals. They prepare their own compost that is used throughout the farm.
4E Green farms specializes in leafy greens and tuberous vegetables including: Swiss chard, curly kale, black spinach, baby bok choy, tuscan kale, and Yu Chogy. Their salad greens include: arugula, baby spinach, spicy mix, mesculin, baby lettuce ( spring mix), and sorrel. In addition, they grow carrots, golden, candy cane and red beets, marble potatoes, fingerling potatoes, red and yellow onion, Japanese sweet potatoes, watermelon radish, broccoli, eggplant, cabbage, and tomatoes. Herbs such as rosemary, thyme, cilantro, basil and parsley are also plentiful.
4E Green Farms frequents several tri-state farmers markets, offers a winter CSA, and allows farmers market customers to pre-order vegetables online. These vegetables are then available for customer pickup at the designated farmers market.
